FAQs

How much does it cost to hire Giancarlo?

The fee for most corporate bookings depends on factors like audience size, format, performance length, travel, and date.  For that reason, the range is wide, but most events land somewhere in the range of $2,500-5,000.

If your organization is a nonprofit, such as a church group, Giancarlo is often able to offer discounts.

For small, personal gatherings, such as house parties, that require no tech needs, significant discounts are also available.

Tell us about your event and you'll get a clear quote in your email.

How far in advance should I book?

The sooner the better for prime dates. The most popular months are December, October, and May.  Those tend to book out first, usually many months ahead.  For other dates that aren't prime dates, the average client books 2-3 months in advance. If your date is close, ask anyway. If there is availability, Giancarlo would love to be at your event.

What kind of events do you perform at?

Corporate conferences, sales kickoffs, award galas, holiday parties, client appreciation nights, and executive dinners. The show flexes from a full stage performance to mingling close-up magic during a cocktail hour.  Giancarlo also performs for nonprofits often, including a separate show that caters specifically for faith-based church events.

What's the difference between the stage show and strolling magic?

The stage show is the headline: a full performance for your whole room, built to land as the moment everyone talks about after. Strolling (mingling) magic happens up close, table to table or group to group, during a cocktail hour or reception. Many events use both.

Do you perform virtually for remote teams?

Yes. The virtual show is built for camera, not a stage show pointed at a webcam. It's interactive, the audience participates from their own homes, and it works for remote teams and hybrid events.

How big an audience can you perform for?

From an intimate executive dinner to an arena. Giancarlo has performed at Lucas Oil Stadium for a crowd of 25,000 people. With the right sound and lighting, the stage show is built to scale to thousands.  Custom performances are also available, such as the illusions Giancarlo designed and scripted specifically for TD Bank's CEO Leadership Awards.

Is the show clean and appropriate?

Always. Every show is clean, inclusive, and safe for a mixed professional audience. Nothing that puts your brand or your guests in an awkward spot.  There is never any suggestive, offensive, or blue material in any of Giancarlo's performances.  Unless it is explicitly a faith-based event, there is never any religious material either.

What do you need from the venue?

For most stage shows: a sound system with a headset or lapel mic, an audio connection for music, access to a power outlet, basic stage lighting, and a clear performance area. Giancarlo will send a simple tech rider once we book and coordinate with your AV team so it's handled.

Do you travel?

Yes, nationwide and sometimes beyond. Giancarlo is based in Dallas and regularly performs across the country.  Whenever possible, Giancarlo will try to include travel costs in the initial quote, so there is no guesswork involved.  If this is the case, the email you receive will denote it.

Are you the magician from Penn & Teller: Fool Us?

Yes. Giancarlo has appeared twice on the show, and successfully fooled Penn & Teller on his Season 10 appearance, making him a Season 10 winner of the show Fool Us. It's the same caliber of material your audience sees, built for a live corporate room.

What makes your show different from other corporate magicians?

Many other magicians show up and do tricks.  Giancarlo crafts moments that resonate and create reactions that spread throughout the room.

The credentials are there: A Fool Us winner, 300+ Five Star reviews, and Fortune 500 companies from TD Bank to Facebook to Google.  But that's not why companies bring Giancarlo back...

Yes, the magic grabs attention, but what audiences remember is what happens next:  Conversations start, walls come down, and a room full of people shares an experience they'll still be talking about weeks later.
